Perhaps a Movie Star?

So yesterday, while Sandor and I were on our way to Burlingame to see the current fantastic CCBDC comp. team compete at the San Fransisco Open, we got stuck in stop and go traffic. Normally, this isn't very entertaining. You stop, you go, you stop again. But yesterday, there was more going on outside the car than just break lights.

There was an old BMW in front of us. Red, in good condition, but so old it looked more like a Volvo than a BMW. Inside the red BMW was a man, dark hair, sunglasses, looked to be about mid-thirties. He rolled down his window, convinced the car next to him to do so as well, and began to chat with the people in the other car. It looked like he was chatting them up, and when he finally decided he could pull forward and we got to move, it was in fact a car full of three attractive young women. As we pulled further forward, the man immediately got out his cell phone, and called someone. We gleefully assumed it was the girls in the car now a little ways behind us. When the girls pulled up again closer, they were not only on the phone, but started taking pictures of the guy in front of us. The only reason I can think of to take pictures of some guy you see on a freeway is if he's a movie star, or perhaps to show your friends who hit on you in traffic.

I guess we'll never know what was actually going on, but whether he was a movie star, or just some guy hitting on girls, it was quite entertaining to watch, and made the traffic seem much less slow than it actually was.

Times When....

.... I feel smart:
Understanding the tricky error in my co-worker's code before he does and knowing how to fix it.

.... I feel dumb:
Answering the phone "Stanford Math Project, this is Meghan, I mean Katie"

.... I am amused:
Reading the sign which says "Men working in trees"

Ahh, the Simple Life

Harry: "I want to change the world for the better. I want to bring electricity to mankind."
Sally: "Harry, they already have electricity."
Harry: "Ahhh, then my work is complete."
