So, wow I've been busy, trying to figure out majors, Jonah's birthday, lunch with his dad and stepmom, dinner with his dad. Those were both really fun, so hopefully they like me! Classes are going well, but keeping me very busy, I have a midterm to take this weekend for math, so that's a little scary, but hopefully that will go well! I decided to take a break from studying to write this really fast. :) I switched my entire schedule around, as I decided that I wasn't going to be a physics major, that I'd rather do psychology or neuroscience. We'll see what happens. I could combine the two with a major in cognitive neuroscience. Maybe. I haven't completely decided that yet. But at least I've made a little progress! :) I do regret having to drop my geology class, because it was really really fun, and I really enjoyed the topic, but it was a lot of work, and so in a way, it's good. Gives me a little more time to concentrate on my other classes. Which is good, as Latin and math tend to take up a lot of time. But the reading for my other classes is not insubstantial, and I have little projects due next week, so it's starting to be feel a little pressure time. Hopefully it doesn't get too bad. Anyway, I switched into Language and the Brain, and Personality, two psych classes, both of which I enjoy very much. And both of which the profs. are really nice, I had both of them before, and prof. Baldo was actually the one I talked to about changing my major, and she got sooo excited about it! It was really fun. So it doesn't look like I'll be able to go abroad, because I have to stay and do major stuff, but I wasn't sure I was going to be able to anyway, so that's not too much of a disappointment. At least there's four of us who aren't going abroad next year, so Becca, Lisa, Sarra and I are planning on suiting together. :) Which would be really really really fun! I miss being close to those guys. Being all in the same dorm except for Lisa last year, made things really convenient. Now everyone's in a different dorm from me. It's alright, I shouldn't really complain. I got into a suite, and I should be happy. Which I am, but it would be nice to be closer to all those guys. I really like my suiemates though. They're fun. My suite is having a dinner party for ourselves tonight, which should be really fun. I'm going to a jazz concert in the village for Core, and then we're coming back and eating and watching a movie, then I'll probably head over to Ian's where everyone else will be, depending on what time it is. But yeah. Fun stuff! :) I've been dancing lots! I auditioned for, and made Tour Team! Which is so very exciting! It's really early in the morning, but I can deal with that, because it's such a higher level of dancing, and so much more fun! I'm so excited to be with all the people I know, and finally be a part of all the jokes and things that they were doing all last year. It's really nice. Chris (our director) picked couples for the Standard Medley this morning, which is the routine that the comp team will take to Ohio to compete and defend our first place title, although this is a totally different catagory of dance now, so it will be really interesting to see what happens! I really hope we can do it! We've done it two years in a row now, so hope hope! :) The routine is really neat. I love standard! And it's so exciting that Chris is a standard guy! He's very good. Anyway, so Jonah, Kay, Andrew, Matt, Kitri, Adam, Ian, who else have I talked about that you would know? Hmm... anyway, they're all in it. I'm an alternate, so I get to learn everything, and hopefully nothing bad happens, because everyone in it is simply an amazing dancer, but if anything does, then Chris has someone to fill in. So, I can choose to go to Ohio or not. I probably won't, maybe if Jon, my partner goes, I might, but I wouldn't really do anything except watch, so I'm not sure it's worth the money and missing school. We'll see how it goes. I don't have to make travel plans just yet. I'm a little disappointed that I didn't make it. But at the same time, everone who's in it is very good, although Emily was a complete surprise. She's never done any standard, only Latin, but she's a very good dancer (especially at Latin), an amazing performer, and a senior, so she definitely deserves to go. So yeah. Everyone else is in Gold Standard, so of course they were all going. I really wanted to go, because this is Kitri's last year, and she's become over last semester and this one so far, my team mentor, kind of. She's so nice, and really fun. I like her a lot. And I'd like to have been able to share going to nationals with her, but oh well. I'll go at some point, hopefully. It won't be the same, but it never will be. That's how life goes. So anyway, that's the team news. Orchestra is going well, we're working on Beethoven's Ninth, which is an awesome piece of music! And we'll play that for the grand opening of the Garrison Performing Arts Center, which is where we've been practicing, and it's very nice. So that should be really fun! Oh, but one of the concerts is on the same night as the Halloween dance party, so that's going to make things a little interesting, especially since I'll have to have a costume for the party, but be wearing black for the concert, and we're performing at the party! So, as long as the concert doesn't get out too late, I'll be fine! I hope it works! Matt and I both are in the concert, and the performance at the dance party, so we'll be doing the same thing. At least there's someone else. :) Yay for having overlapping activities! But the routine we're doing for that performance is the silliest thing ever! And Chris want's to do it in Concert?! It's insane! It makes me laugh, because it's so horribly silly, and I'm laughing because I'd love to be watching this, but I can't, I'm just making a fool of myself dancing it! But that's alright, both my partners are really funny guys, Andrew and Jon, they're great! And they're both Lindy boys, which is awesome because the routine is swing, even though it's not lindy, having that background definitely helps! And I like them. Jonah and I are spending time together when we can. Seeing him at rehearsals is nice, and then we eat lunch or dinner together every so often, when we can. He has a class at Scripps on Wed. and Fridays, so he'll eat lunch here with me. It's not easy, so much other stuff that we both have going on, but we've managed to work with it so far. So, that's my life right now. I really should go study my math..... have fun everyone! :)

Ha ha, well time did fly! I'm now finished with my first week of classes, moved into my dorm, and all that good stuff. I've been able to spend some time catching up with my friends, which was fun. They all had some interesting storied to tell about their summers. It's fun. We got together and played telephone pictionary last night! It was fabulous! There was one that I started that ended up being so funny Becca and I were both crying we laughed so hard! It was really really funny. I love that game! We watched a movie and played cards too. Matt taught us a new game called pyramid. I'll have to teach you all when I get back, if I can remember all the rules. I kept forgetting that the tens were special cards! It was pretty funny. I'm excited about most of my classes. The semester promises to be challenging, with all the work I'll have, and fun stuff that I want to do. Dance should be good, but I might have to go into the Gold Standard class, when I should be in Silver. Which is very intimidating! Although it would be fun to have a class with Jonah. And I know almost everyone else in there as well. But, I'm trying to convince Matt to take silver with me, since we need guys, he hasn't taken it yet, and he's like the only one I know who hasn't. Hopefully he'll come. We'll see. I've discovered that Pomona has some weird traditions, like in Frary (one of the dining halls) if someone drops a cup, everyone else downs their drinks and drops their cups too. And it sounds kind of cool, because it echoes because the ceilings are so high, but it's a little odd. I experienced that one first hand Wed. night. That was the second time I had eaten there that day! It's alright. It was under renovation last year, so I had never eaten there before. It has a really scary picture of Prometheus on the wall. And we've decided that if you replaced the smaller tables with four long tables and put a head table up, it would look like the Hogwart's dining hall in Harry Potter. Of course, you'd need to get rid of that mural too, but I wouldn't mind that at all! ;) Well, I should go do my work again. Talk to you all soon!
