Pretty Art!

So, Sandor and I went to a "Wine and Art Festival" on Castro Street today. There were tons of people there. It was basically like a large craft fair. There was lots of neat stuff. Very nice woodwork, pretty jewelry. I wasn't looking to buy anything, until we ran into this booth of art. It was incredible, there was just so much color in every painting. When we walked by the booth, I saw one painting that was just amazing, and dragged Sandor after me to take a closer look. We ended up looking at a lot of her work. It's pretty interesting. A lot of it is very sexual, but this one series that we were looking at was just cool. We ended up buying two Giclee prints, one of "Species", which Sandor is going to keep, and one of "Illusions", which I am going to hang on my wall. There are a couple of other ones in the "Windows" collection as she called it, that I like as well. I've decided that next time I'm buying "Species," because I think it is beautiful. Kind of expensive, but really unique art. So I'm OK with paying the price. So many pretty colors! I'm very excited about my new acquisition, and can't wait to get it framed and on my wall.

Apartment Pictures, Finally

Alright, so here are the pictures that I took of my apartment. It's actually much more organized and set up at this point, as these were taken quite early on, but you can see the space at least. I like it. :)

This is where the front door to my apartment comes in. Incidentally, I actually have a doorbell. Which is kind of fun. It makes it feel more like a house.

Here's the view of my living room from the front door of my apartment. I guess I should stop calling it the front door, it is the only door. Unless you wanted to use a window...

Here's the rest of my living room. The large messy table is my desk, although it still doesn't have a computer on it. But it will soon. :)

Here is my itty bitty kitchen. My one beef with the apartment is that the kitchen is so ridiculously small. I ended up buying a cart for the microwave and putting it in the corner by the table so that I would have any counter space at all. And there's only one outlet near the counter, which means you can only ever have two kitchen appliances plugged in at once. Not so convenient. But, it works. It's a kitchen at least.

Here is my bedroom. It's actually quite large, although you can't tell very well from this particular picture. It also has the high vaulted ceilings like my living room does, and a ceiling fan as well, which is a plus.

And that's pretty much my apartment. There are two humongous closets off the hallway, which I'm storing lots and lots of stuff in, and my bathroom, which I think is also about the size of one of the closets, meaning, for a bathroom, it is tiny. But, like the kitchen, it serves its purpose. And having a tiny bathroom is fine. So, that's where I'm living. If you're ever in the Mountain View area, you should stop by at least and say hi and see my wonderful apartment. It is so much more organized and nice looking than the pictures make it look. I'll take some more eventually when I have curtains and my pictures up, and you'll get the full effect then. :)
