Hi! Well, this week has been very very interesting! I feel like I've been here for a month already, and yet we haven't even been here for a Monday of class yet! It's so strange! Anyway, let's see, I've switched classes, and added a fifth class, and danced, and talked with friends, and had fun! Tuesday, we had more guys than girls at Lindy again! It was so fun! The girls were in demand! Yay! :) I got elbowed in the mouth by Keith at the very beginning, I'm not sure how it happened. It was rather strange, and he felt really bad! It didn't hurt too badly, so it was OK, I just wasn't sure what happened! Apparently Lindy will continue on Tuesdays and Saturdays, because Tatsu's night class was cancelled, so he's going to do more advanced things on Tuesday for those of us who have been here before, and Saturdays are the beginner lessons. So yesterday, those of us girls who know what we're doing, went to the beginner lesson to learn to lead. It was kind of fun, but really hard! I have a real respect for guys now, because they actually have to think and plan while they are dancing, which is really hard! But then I was talking to Jonah, and he thinks following is harder than leading. So maybe it's just what you learn to do first? I don't know. It's interesting though. Emily's decided that we need to keep going back so that she and I can dance with each other like Jon and Tatsu do, and switch who's leading in the middle of a song! I think it's going to take quite a while before we are even close to being able to do that! Sarra and I have been practicing cha-cha almost everyday, to get ready for the auditions which are two weeks away! It's kind of nerve racking, having to change things right before, but that's why we're practicing, so that it becomes natural before we actually have to get out there and perform for Wes. The good thing is that he made a comment to me on Wednesday that shows that he knows I'm dedicated, which is good! I hope the fact that he kind of knows us will go in our favor a bit! It's cheating to say that, but I hope! Anyway, we need to get a boy to practice with us! We're debating who knows the most and can help us! We learned quickstep in class on Wed.! It was so cool! We learned more in that one class than we learned in a week in social! There were eight girls, and four guys, it was just perfect! I hope it stays that way! Classes are all good. Core and Women in Music go right along with each other, because for both, I was reading things about the theory of feminism. It was very interesting. I'm not sure I agree with it all, but it was very interesting. Those are going to be fun! Bio. should be good! I like my prof., except that he has really messy handwriting! Fortunately, most of the notes are on powerpoint! Which is very nice! Latin is good, as usual. That class hasn't changed much, except that we lost Katherine. That was sad, but we gained another, except that she goes by Casey. :) Math is interesting. Mostly review right now. Sarra thinks that we did some Linear Alg. and Diff. Eq. in BC. It's possible. The first day of class, we had an example of beer vats, and people drinking the beer, and the next example was bunnies on the Pitzer campus. I was trying to imagine Mr. Wright doing either of those, and it just doesn't work. Prof. Jacobsen definitely has a different sense of humor, but in a way, he reminds me of Mr. Wright. Anyway, I better go finish reading Mendelian genetics! Yay! It's review of ninth grade, and it's amazing how much of it I remember! But, I'm getting ahead for the week! Busy busy! :)

Well, I am back at Scripps. It was a good flight back, a little bumpy, but not bad. I met two girls on the plane, one goes to Mudd, the other is a junior here at Scripps. It was fun to talk to them! When we got to Ontario, Beth, she's the junior, and I went down to get our luggage, and the carousel wasn't moving yet, so I went out to see if Sarra was driving by, and she was, just as I walked out there, of course, she had driven around four times already, because our flight was ten minutes late getting in. :( But, she was very happy to see me, and it was good to see her again too! She had had an awful morning! So, she shared that with me, while we stood around pretending to load stuff, and waiting for the carousel to start! It finally did, but my luggage didn't come, and neither did Beth's, and the carousel actually stopped moving, and then we got worried, but eventually it started moving again, and we got our luggage, and we managed to fit everything in Sarra's car, so that Beth could get a ride too. That was fun! ;) It worked out very well though. So, we got back, and I unpacked, and Sarra and I talked as I did, and then Mandy came in to say HI! It was good to see her again too! So we all went to dinner together, and just after we sat down and started eating, Jonah came in, and so he sat with us too, which was fun! He was enjoying the warm weather as well! It's 70 or 75 today! But Sarra says it's cold, apparently, a couple days ago it was 85! Oh, that would be wonderful! :) But the sun is great! After dinner, we watched Strictly Ballroom, which is a very cute movie! I like it! Then, Sarra and I went to the rec room, because it has a hard floor, and practiced what she learned in her ballroom lessons! I was doing the hips the complete opposite way on the cha-cha! I had the right idea, just the wrong way, so now I'm going to be practicing the right way so that hopefully I can change that quick before the auditions, although neither of us can remember how far into the semester the auditions were last time. So, we have to find out. Today, I have helped Meagan move into her new room, which was fun, I got my arm workout for the day! Carrying stuff down three floors, then over into the other hall. It wasn't that far, fortunately. But, she's very happy, which was good. I also bought books this morning, which was fun, but expensive! Wow! Hopefully they'll all be put to good use! Let's see, vacation was fun! I really enjoyed my visits back to Kentridge, it was good to see people again, and talk with my teachers! The dancing was fabulous! And if it's at all workable, we're going to be going in LA too! That should be interesting! But fun, if we go with everyone! :) It was good to spend a lot of time with my family! Not seeing them for four months was too long! It was a fun four months, but I missed them! But I'll see them lots now! :) Yay! Anyway, I need to go decorate my walls, and clean! Camille gets in at nine tonight! So I have a little while, but there's lots to do! As always! :)
